Detail Information

Aluminium Rolling Ladder with Solid Oak Treads

Model 2210 pairs aluminium tube stiles with solid oak treads. It is the middle option between a full timber ladder and an all-metal one: the aluminium frame carries the load and resists knocks, while the oak tread face keeps the warm look wanted in a kitchen, wine store or open shelving run.

The reference configuration is seven oak treads on a one metre rail, supplied as a spliced ladder. Tread count changes with the height you specify.

Aluminium Rolling Ladder with Solid Oak Treads

Why Buyers Specify This Ladder

Oak tread face

Solid oak treads give a warmer surface than metal underfoot and match timber shelving without needing a separate finish.

Aluminium frame

The stiles take the structural load, so the timber is doing the job it is good at rather than carrying the whole frame.

Spliced construction

Stiles join from sections, which shortens the crate and lets a tall ladder move through a stairwell during installation.

Built to height

Seven treads on a one metre rail is the reference build. Tread count and rail length are recalculated for your opening.

Construction Detail

Oak tread on aluminium stile

Oak tread on aluminium stile

Each oak tread lands in a cast collar that wraps the aluminium tube. The collar spreads the load around the stile rather than relying on a fixing driven into the tube wall.

Spliced stile

Spliced stile

Stile sections join with an internal sleeve and fixings through the tube. The joint sits between treads so it is out of the load path of any single step.

Where These Ladders Are Used

Libraries and shelving

Reaches the top shelf of a full-height run and rolls aside so the whole wall stays accessible.

Lofts and mezzanines

Gives a fixed climb to a raised floor or storage deck without the floor area a staircase would take.

Retail, wine stores and kitchens

Used where stock sits above head height and the ladder is on show as part of the fit-out.

Common Questions

Why combine aluminium with oak?

An all-timber ladder looks right but dents and moves with humidity. An all-metal ladder is hard-wearing but cold in a domestic room. This model puts the structure in aluminium and the contact surface in oak.

How many treads will my ladder have?

The costed reference build is seven oak treads on a one metre rail. Tread count follows the finished height, so tell us your floor-to-rail dimension and we will confirm the number on the drawing.

What does spliced mean here?

The stiles are shipped in sections and joined at assembly with an internal sleeve. It keeps the packed length short and makes a tall ladder easier to carry into the room.

Is the rail included?

The reference configuration includes a one metre rail. Longer runs are quoted by length, so send the wall or shelf run you need to cover.

Can the oak be finished to match our joinery?

Yes. Send a sample or a finish reference and we will match it before bulk production.

Which model should I pick for a workshop?

M00259, the aluminium ladder with slotted metal treads. Oak treads are the right choice for display and living areas, not for a space where the treads collect swarf and dust.

Request a drawing or a sample

Send the floor-to-rail height, the shelving run you need to cover, the finish and the quantity. We will return a production drawing and a lead time for your project.
