AA200166 Bypass Sliding Door Hardware: A Quiet, Top-Hung Track Kit for 2-3 Panel Wardrobes

A new lightweight bypass track system built for wardrobes and closets where two or three sliding doors need to glide past one another smoothly, without rattling against the frame.

AA200166 is a top-hung bypass sliding door hardware set: an aluminum alloy track, three roller carriages with nylon wheels, guide pins, door hangers, and the small fixing brackets needed to mount a multi-panel wardrobe door. It is designed for the classic bypass layout used in bedroom wardrobes and closets, where one or more doors slide in front of the others rather than folding or swinging open.

What is in the AA200166 kit

The set is built around a bronze-toned aluminum alloy track channel. Along both inner edges of the channel runs a strip of brush-pile seal, which lines up against the top edge of each sliding door panel once it is hung. Inside the channel, three roller carriages ride on small nylon wheels; each carriage is a steel bracket with a protruding guide pin that locates into the door's top hanger plate.

  • One aluminum alloy top track with a built-in brush-pile seal on both channel edges
  • Three nylon-wheel roller carriages, one per sliding door panel
  • Matching door hanger plates with a guide pin that seats into each roller carriage
  • L-shaped guide brackets and anti-jump stop plates to keep each door panel aligned in its own channel
  • End caps, screws, and a floor guide block with a nylon insert for the bottom of the door run

Because the track, rollers, and brackets are sized for light cabinet-grade doors rather than full-height room dividers, the kit suits wardrobe and closet panels made from standard board or veneered panel material, not heavy glass or solid-timber room doors.

Why the brush-pile seal matters

A recurring complaint with older bypass closet doors is the rattling and side-to-side play that develops once the track wears, along with the draft and dust that pass through the gap between the door top and the track channel. AA200166 addresses both points directly in the track profile rather than as an add-on part.

The brush-pile strip fitted along the channel edges sits in light contact with the top of each door panel as it travels. It dampens the small side-to-side movement that causes knocking noise during sliding, and it closes the gap above the door, reducing dust ingress and draft compared with a bare metal channel. For wardrobes in bedrooms, this is a direct, quiet-operation selling point rather than a cosmetic detail.

Built for 2-3 panel bypass wardrobe doors

The kit's three-roller-carriage layout matches the most common bypass wardrobe configuration: two overlapping doors running in two parallel channels, or three doors sharing the track width with the center panel bypassing both outer panels. Each roller carriage and its matching hanger plate are independent, so one door's height or alignment can be adjusted at its own guide pin without affecting the others.

The L-shaped guide brackets and stop plates shown in the kit mount at the ends of the track and at the floor guide, keeping each panel running in its own lane and preventing the doors from jumping sideways out of alignment during use. Combined with the end caps and mounting screws included in the set, the kit is intended as a complete top-track solution for a bypass wardrobe door project rather than a track-only or roller-only replacement part.
